Jeff Newman

Jeff Newman, Chairman

As a longtime Silicon Valley executive, Jeff brings his vision, leadership quality and depth of strong alliances and relationships with an industry-wide global network to enabling the success of Catalyst. Based on his extensive experience in managing people to grow businesses, Jeff launched Catalyst Operating, LLC, in 1999, at the request of the venture capital community. Jeff designed Catalyst services to accelerate the time to market for technology companies via managed access to the Catalyst Fellow NetworkTM, a closely-managed global intelligence network of over 400 of the most influential senior corporate executives. Catalyst has been significant in the development and market entry of many venture funded companies as well as public corporations repositioning into new markets. Experienced Board member to many client companies, Jeff helped shape optimal corporate roadmap and growth strategy to 50+ companies.


Mark Shirman

Mark Shirman, President & CEO

Mark Shirman is President and CEO at RiverMeadow Software where he brings almost thirty years of entrepreneurial experience in the IT arena. Prior to RiverMeadow, Mark was the founder and CEO of GlassHouse Technologies where, for 11 years, he was responsible for building GlassHouse's leadership in the data center solutions space, managing the investment community, and setting the vision for the company's solutions development. Prior to GlassHouse, Mark was executive vice president of corporate development and CTO at Convergent Group, which had a successful IPO in 2000 and was subsequently purchased by Schlumberger. He was also responsible for the worldwide eBusiness and CRM lines of business for Cambridge Technology Partners, and ran similar business units at BSG/Alliance IT. In 1985, he successfully launched a new breed IT consulting company called Innovative Information Systems Inc., which focused on emerging technologies and application development, and was purchased by CDI Corporation. Mark started his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. after receiving his BA in Economics from Brandeis University and his MBA from American University. Mark is active in community service serving as a trustee at Mt. Wachusett Community College after being appointed by the Governor of Massachusetts. He serves on a variety of advisory boards and is a director on the boards of Mobiquity, OpenSky, and CloudSilverLining.


Scott Metzger

Scott Metzger, COO & CTO

Scott Metzger is Chief Operating & Technology Officer at RiverMeadow Software and is responsible for the overall operations and technology direction of RiverMeadow. Before RiverMeadow, Metzger was vice president of corporate development at Violin Memory, with a focus on analytics. Prior to Violin Memory, Scott held the position of senior vice president (SVP) of products, engineering and operations for Apigee Corporation. At Apigee, he was instrumental in strategically transforming and scaling the company, increasing revenue growth from 400 to 900 percent in just a year and a half. Prior to Apigee, Metzger was CTO of TransUnion Interactive (formerly TrueLink), where he was recognized by InfoWorld as one of the top 25 CTOs for his vision and ability to drive double-digit growth year-over-year. During his tenure at TransUnion, Metzger helped grow the company's revenue from less than 10 million to well over 100 million while maintaining high margins. Metzger has worked in a number of industries including game development, education, healthcare, financial services and technology products and services. He has filed more than a dozen patents with two awarded to date. Prior to his executive roles at Apigee, TransUnion, Metzger held senior consulting and engineering positions at Baxter International, CalPoly Media Lab, and Zmode.


Jim Jordan

Jim Jordan, CFO

Jim Jordan is Chief Financial Officer at RiverMeadow Software and a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in software, professional services, manufacturing, mergers and acquisitions and IPO's. Jim has served as CFO to more than 20 companies over the past 15 years, successfully raised more than $500m in debt and equity and completed more than 30 acquisitions. Jim also has extensive international experience having started and run business in Asia, Australia and Latin America. Notable CFO positions include; Airwide Solutions, Venture Advisors (founder), Glasshouse Technologies, EnerNoc, Verillon, BIT9, Savantis, CXO Systems, Ntru, ArsDigita and Cambridge Technology Partners. Jim began his career at Coopers and Lybrand where he specialized in IPO's and Mergers and Acquisitions. Jim is a graduate of Boston College, is a CPA and a former Army Ranger.


Rich Heaton

Rich Heaton, SVP Operations

Rich is a highly technical, execution-focused entrepreneur, with experience building and architecting products and organizations from the ground up in both startup and large company environments. Prior to joining RiverMeadow, Rich was Vice President of Corporate Development and Systems Engineering at Violin Memory, responsible for strategic engagements as well as the Sales Engineering and Technical Marketing Engineering teams. Prior to Violin, Rich was Director of Engineering at Cisco Systems, having re-joined Cisco in 2006 as a result of Cisco's acquisition of Greenfield Networks, where he was Co-Founder and Vice President of Software. Rich holds a BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Canada.


Richard Scannell

Richard Scannell, EVP Corporate Development

Richard is a seasoned industry veteran in the IT Infrastructure marketplace. Prior to joining RiverMeadow, he co-founded GlassHouse Technologies in 2001. In his role as Senior VP of Corporate Strategy and Marketing, Richard was responsible for GlassHouse's Sales, go-to-market strategy and marketing functions, helping to grow GlassHouse from startup to over 600 people in seven countries. Prior to GlassHouse, Richard served as COO of UpSource, a startup company providing outsourced CRM services. Richard has also worked as a senior IT infrastructure manager at Motorola. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Computer Science from University College Cork, Ireland.


Anil Varkhedi

Anil Varkhedi, Founder & VP of Technology

For almost 25 years, Anil has designed and developed software products for leading companies and startups. At RiverMeadow, Anil is the architect of the RiverMeadow SaaS, our industry leading cloud migration technology. His knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, along with database expertise, has helped make RiverMeadow the product of choice for datacenter migrations. Before joining RiverMeadow, Anil worked at IBM - through an acquisition of CrossAccess Corp - as a senior software engineer and architect. Throughout his career, Anil has worked extensively in the fields of virtualization, operating systems, networking, databases, system administration and applications. Anil holds a B.Tech from VJTI, Mumbai.


Marco Massenzio

Marco Massenzio, VP of Engineering

Marco Massenzio is VP of Engineering at RiverMeadow Software and is responsible for development of the RiverMeadow Cloud Migration SaaS. Before joining RiverMeadow, Massenzio was Vice President of Engineering at SnapLogic where he drove product strategy and led the team responsible for developing the first truly multi-tenant, cloud-based integration-platform-as-a-Service (iPaaS). Massenzio was also responsible for overseeing SnapLogic's operations and customer success teams. Prior to SnapLogic, Massenzio was Senior Engineering Manager at Google where he led both the Engineering Tools and Partners Solutions Organizations, first in London and then in Mountain View, CA. He was responsible for the delivery and operation of massively scalable distributed systems for AdSense, YouTube and Mobile services, managing a large team of Google engineers across EMEA, APAC and the United States. An entrepreneur a heart, Massenzio founded two companies in the UK, Infinite Bandwidth and Tamarix Consulting. At Infinite Bandwidth he developed mobile location services, wireless applications and traffic information systems. His original vision to help motorists intelligently escape congested areas is finally becoming a reality with services such as Google Now. As a co-founder and Managing Director of Tamarix Consulting, Massenzio helped clients plan, design and deploy wireless networks and cellular services across several European countries. Marco holds a PhD in Electromagnetics from the University of Rome in collaboration with the European Space Agency. He also holds an MBA from Henley Management College. His interests are in massively scalable distributed systems, machine learning and mobile application development on the Android platform.
