Based on customer demand and feedback, our team worked through the holidays to deliver support for migrating applications to AWS Dedicated Hosts!

We are thrilled to announce our support of Dedicated Hosts on AWS!  We are even more thrilled to tell you that RiverMeadow is the only SaaS-Based, Agentless Migration tool that supports Dedicated Hosts!

What are AWS Dedicated Hosts?

Dedicated Hosts save AWS customers money on licensing costs by allowing use of existing per-socket, per-core, or per-VM software licenses, including Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, or other software licenses that are bound to VMs, sockets, or physical cores (subject to the license terms). Dedicated Hosts give you more flexibility, visibility, and control over the placement of instances on dedicated hardware.

Dedicated Hosts also help customer’s address compliance and regulatory concerns by providing instances to be placed on a specific, physical server to enable you to deploy instances using configurations that help address corporate compliance and regulatory policy. RiverMeadow’s Support for Dedicated Hosts

Support for Dedicated Hosts is about delivering the capabilities for our partners so they can meet their customer demand. Being able to migrate to dedicated hosts helps customers moving to the cloud honor their Microsoft Licensing Agreements, allowing customers to BYOL (Bring Your Own License) which enables them to meet regulatory compliances that were not possible, or difficult to evidence, in a shared tenancy.

Not only are we happy to do this for our customers, but we’re also keen to show our commitment to the breadth and depth of the cloud-native features and capabilities of Amazon Web Services.
