What You'll Do:
As a DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer and as part of the broader Engineering team, you will work directly with product management, product engineers, quality engineers and Ops engineers in a dynamic, open environment, employing modern techniques and best practices in build automation to accelerate all phases of development. You will also manage and maintain RiverMeadow’s environments in public and private cloud.
As a DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Managing the RiverMeadow Platform
- Maintaining existing CI/CD frameworks (Gerrit, Git, Jenkins) and developing additional features
- Managing public cloud environments – AWS, Azure, GCP
- Managing private datacenter environment – vSphere, Nutanix AOS
- Managing networking infrastructure: ISP connectivity, LAN and VPN
- Managing and monitoring cloud spend
- Designing and implementing disaster recovery strategies and business continuity plans for various company assets
- Development and support of internal tools for test automation, machine provisioning, template deployment and log aggregation from production systems
What You'll Bring:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience performing DevOps functions as part of a software development team.
- Strong sense of ownership, self-drive, creativity and innovation
- Fast learner and self-driven to accomplish goals with limited supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Linux System Administration and strong Linux bash scripting experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with:
- CI/CD development environments
- SaaS product deployment, administration, monitoring.
- Jenkins
- Chef and Ruby scripting
- GitHub and Gerrit
- Infrastructure management such as operating systems (Windows and Linux), storage (SAN/NAS) and patch management
- Networking (VPN, NAT, DHCP, DNS, Routing)
- Cloud hypervisor setup, administration, networking and monitoring for AWS
- Linux system administration (OEL, RHEL)
- SQL and NoSQL databases
Bonus if you have:
- Intermediate Python programming skills
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and databases
- Strong network engineering skills
- Experience with the following:
- Maven
- AWS EC2, SQS, SES, SNS, S3 and CloudWatch
- Nginx administration
- Cassandra/MongoDB/Apache Tomcat
- Cloud hypervisor setup, administration, monitoring for AWS, Azure, GCP, vSphere, OpenShift and Nutanix AOS
- Security and Access control
- Provisioning and deprovisioning accounts and assigning permissions in centralized AAA using FreeIPA
- Experience working with Docker, Ansible, Packer and Vagrant
