Traditional migration methods often struggle to cope with the challenges of NFS mounts inside a guest OS. RiverMeadow is able to migrate at a file level and can also target particular mount points by way of a Data Only Migration (DOM). This allows us to migrate the data from an NFS mount point to a drive on a cloud VM. In some cases, we have migrated to cloud-based NFS storage. We can use our Delta Sync technology to make sure the data is kept up to date until the cutover is complete.
As you will see from our video below, moving data from NFS shares to the cloud can be both quick and easy with RiverMeadow's cloud migration platform.
We converted the machine to BIOS and the boot partition to MBR, removing another potential issue from the migration process. If you are looking for ways to move data from NFS shares on premise to fixed drives in the cloud, talk to our Cloud Migration Experts today.
