We are excited to announce that a series of powerful new features have launched, designed to enhance your migration experience, particularly with AWS. As cloud technology evolves, so do the needs of our customers, and this release focuses on increasing efficiency, scalability, and resilience. Here is what you can now take advantage of:

AWS Marketplace Integration

RiverMeadow is now fully integrated with the AWS Marketplace. This integration allows end-users to leverage their existing AWS funding to utilize RiverMeadow’s powerful migration technology. By being part of the AWS Marketplace, we have made it even easier for customers to access our services, simplifying procurement processes and enhancing your ability to take full advantage of AWS’s cloud offerings.

Amazon Linux Modernization Capabilities

RiverMeadow now supports OS modernization from major Linux distributions such as Red Hat, Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) and CentOS (which is now EOL) to Amazon Linux 2 or Amazon Linux 2023. This functionality not only streamlines the migration process but also strengthens our support for AWS by facilitating transitions to their native operating systems.

Support for Migrations to the Osaka (ap-northeast-3) Region

In response to growing demand, we have expanded our migration capabilities to include the Osaka (ap-northeast-3) region. This addition ensures that our customers can now migrate their workloads to one of the latest AWS regions, providing greater flexibility and regional availability for their cloud strategies.

Support for Migrations to the Malaysia (ap-southeast-5) Region
AWS has recently opened a new Region in Malaysia (ap-southeast-5) region. RiverMeadow has added support for this Region and is helping with go-to-market motions to support partners and customers in this new region. This addition ensures that our customers can now migrate their workloads to one of the latest AWS regions, providing greater flexibility and regional availability for their cloud strategies.

CloudWatch Integration for AWS Migrations

One of the standout features in this release is the option to enable Amazon CloudWatch during the AWS migration process. With this integration, users can automatically activate monitoring as they migrate workloads to AWS. CloudWatch helps with transition to Day2 operations. This ensures that you have real-time insights into the health and performance of your resources from the moment they are migrated, allowing for quicker troubleshooting and optimization.

Resilient Linux OS Modernization with Pause and Resume Capability

Linux OS modernizations can be complex and challenging, with various failure modes that can interrupt the process. To address this, RiverMeadow has introduced a new feature that allows users to pause and resume Linux OS modernization processes. If a failure occurs, the process can now be manually resumed after fixes are applied, eliminating the need to restart the entire migration. This feature significantly reduces downtime and enhances the overall resilience of Linux migrations.

These new features are part of our ongoing commitment to providing our customers with the most advanced and reliable migration tools. Whether you’re managing a single migration or orchestrating a large-scale cloud transformation, RiverMeadow’s latest enhancements are here to support your success every step of the way.
